Inside every building lies miles of highway. Intricate networks of data cabling transmitting information at Gigabit speeds. Structured cabling is the foundation of our communication system. From multi-story office towers to subterranean laboratories, we've designed and installed complex cabling networks with meticulous organization and quality materials. We are Pittsburgh's regional leader in fiber optic cabling.

Utility-Grade Infrastructure (UTG)
UTG provides the telecommunications backbone that support PoE applications including building automation and control, convergence of information technology (IT) and operational technology (OT) applications across a common platform. Alongside oil, gas and electricity, UTG is fast-becoming the fourth utility.
Air Blown Fiber
Blown fiber is the structured cabling of the future. Once the system is installed, any repairs or upgrades to the fiber can typically be achieved in a matter of hours rather than weeks. A layer of air inside the cabling duct creates a virtually friction-free surface in which to glide the cable.
Infection Control Risk Assessment (ICRA)
ICRA is a best-practice standard that maintains a safe construction site while working within a healthcare facility. DES technicians are certified in ICRA and have safely installed cabling in hospitals and healthcare environments across Western PA.
