Verizon App Development Tools and Games for Kids
We love sites that do the research for us and aggregate the cooleset available resources. Verizon wants kids to learn coding. To that effect, they've collected a slew of Coding Courses & Platforms for Beginners and Intermediates.
Brainpop’s STEM site is an extensive collection of science, technology, engineering, and math topics, including animated movies, quizzes, activities, learning games, and lesson ideas and resources for families and educators. Brainpop is offering their coronavirus module for free. The rest of their site is available with a 30-day trial.
Smore Magazine is a print and digital STEM magazine for ages 9+. Smore is available to children through schools and libraries all over the world. The name says it all. This is indeed a great collection of resources (though, some were a little out of date). Highlights we like are the Museum of Science + Industry Chicago Online Science and NASA Space Place.
