Network Support Engineer

The Network Support Engineer is responsible for the support and troubleshooting of networking, data, and wireless network solutions. You will be a part of the Networking Division team that is responsible for providing technical support and final commissioning of customer systems.

Position Responsibilities

  • Communicate with clients to understand and resolve issues in a professional and timely manner.
  • Develop and execute client specific solutions and propose new ways to approach existing challenges.
  • Provide best in practice and security centered ideas to customers to help improve and protect their systems.
  • Be able to independently prioritize issues to provide efficient resolution based on need.
  • Create and update all documentation for systems, configurations and pertinent information for customers, and upload to appropriate internal storage systems.
  • Create backups and validate documentation when accessing client equipment and make configuration changes.
  • Verify all products are properly registered and support contracts assigned.
  • Provide guidance for customers on common issue and root cause analysis.
  • Working collaboratively with installation, project management, support and engineering teams.
  • Perform infrastructure services, including pulling cables, installing wall and ceiling cable, and installing surface mounted devices, as needed.
  • Perform system wiring and terminations, as required.
  • Complete timecard entries on daily basis with notes to update manager on project status.
  • Keep customers up to date on a regular basis using ticketing system.
  • Work with manufacturers to escalate issues and provide resolutions to bugs.
  • Aid with support cases with remote and on-site technical support for existing customers and systems.
  • Stay current on all manufacturer and industry certifications.
  • Help provide internal support for basic troubleshooting, systems backups and archiving.
  • Provide support for company network/telephony applications and create user accounts for new users.
  • Find proper resolution for customer problems with security and long-term maintenance in mind.

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Strong working knowledge of
  • Associate degree in telecommunications, technology or related field preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Highly motivated self-starter who takes initiative with minimal supervision.
  • Independent, driven personality to stay on top of issues and communications.

Security Systems Sales Engineer

The Security Systems Sales Engineer is the primary technical resource for the business development team. This position is responsible for evaluating, analyzing and recommending technology resources throughout the sales process, and acts as an advocate for the company’s products.

Position Responsibilities

  • Review RFP information to qualify opportunities that best fit the portfolio of Company’s offerings.
  • Create new estimates by utilizing Company’s estimating program.
  • Collaborate with Project Manager to design and update technical documentation, including Scope of Work (SOW), Schedule of Values and Change Order Estimates.
  • Update CRM system with final bid amount, margins, and other pertinent data.
  • Provide additional information required for proposals, as needed.
  • Oversee Scope Review meetings with Customer, providing knowledge and feedback of project specifications.
  • Review estimate/SOW to verify all documents match accordingly; makes modifications to original Estimate so that it matches Customer Purchase Order amount.
  • Develop and create submittal packages for Sales team; Manage submittal sheets on internal Server.
  • Attend project kick-off meeting with Project Manager.

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Associate Degree in Information Technology or related field preferred. Bachelor’s Degree is a plus.
  • Minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of relevant experience as a sales engineer/estimator.
  • Working knowledge of IP Cameras, Door Access Controls, Video Management Systems, CCTV, and related security solutions.
  • Working knowledge of Genetec, Axis, and DSX products is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of CRM systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
