Networking Division Coordinator

The Networking Division Coordinator provides administrative and operational support to the DES Networking Division and is integral in process workflow with contract administration, sales engineer support and customer satisfaction.

Position Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support for Networking Division contracts by utilizing Sugar CRM system.
  • Assist sales engineer on a variety of administrative tasks and functions. Utilizing programs, including but not limited to Smartsheets, Sugar, Word and Excel.
  • Provide support triage for Networking Division including case creation, escalation and resolution documentation.
  • Maintain a variety of documents, ensuring that all information is accurate and up-to-date.
  • Perform manufacturer RMAs to ensure all appropriate refunds, replacements and/or repairs.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction through professional communication and efficient follow through.
  • Provide first level customer and operational support and coordination.

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Three (3) years of progressive administrative experience, preferably in the in the electronic services industry (voice, data, security, and/or networking), required.
  • Working knowledge of contracts/contract language.
  • Working experience with Sugar CRM software preferred.
  • Solid understanding of project documentation is a plus.
  • Strong computer skills with software aptitude.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Networking Systems Engineer

The Networking Systems Engineer is responsible for the implementation and programming of networking, voice, data, and wireless network solutions. You will be a part of the Networking Division team that is responsible for providing technical support and final commissioning of customer systems.

Position Responsibilities

  • Communicate with clients to understand and resolve issues in a professional and timely manner.
  • Develop and execute client specific solutions and propose new ways to approach existing challenges.
  • Provide best in practice and security centered ideas to customers to help improve and protect their systems.
  • Assess work sites and project logistics for each project and communicate with project managers in a timely manner to help address issues.
  • Create and update all documentation for systems, configurations and pertinent information for customers, and upload to appropriate internal storage systems.
  • Create backups and validate documentation when accessing client equipment and make configuration changes.
  • Verify all products are properly registered and support contracts assigned.
  • Provide training for customers during or after installation based on client preference and verify customer’s comfort level with equipment before hand-off.
  • Provide guidance to union labor personnel based on project needs.
  • Collaborate with account managers, when needed, on demonstrations for new and potential clients.
  • Perform installation, configuration, programing and final commissioning of customer systems.
  • Working collaboratively with installation, project management, support and engineering teams.
  • Perform infrastructure services, including pulling cables, installing wall and ceiling cable, and installing surface mounted devices, as needed.
  • Perform system wiring and terminations, as required.
  • Complete timecard entries on daily basis with notes to update project manager on project status.
  • Provide assistance with support cases as needed with remote and on-site technical support for existing customers and systems.
  • Stay current on all manufacturer and industry certifications.
  • Help provide internal support for basic troubleshooting, systems backups and archiving.
  • Provide support for company network/telephony applications and create user accounts for new users.

  • Associate degree in telecommunications, technology or related field preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Provide assistance with support cases as needed with remote and on-site technical support for existing customers and systems.
  • Keep current on all manufacture and industry certifications.
  • Provide internal support for basic trouble shooting, system backups and archiving.
  • Provide support for company network/telephony applications.
  • Create user accounts for new users.
  • Create content and provide training for internal DES systems.

Structured Cabling Project Manager

The Structured Cabling Project Manager oversees the integration and installation for the framework on which information systems are built for our valued customers. This position defines each cabling project’s objectives and manages budget and quality control.

Position Responsibilities

  • Define and develop project scope, goals, expectations and deliverables.
  • Coordinate and deliver project completion by meeting or exceeding budget, timeline and quality expectations.
  • Provide quality customer interaction and build customer relationships with successful project completion and communication.
  • Coach, mentor, motivate and supervise project team and contractors.
  • Ensure all labor and OSHA requirements are met.
  • Work with systems engineers to develop Method of Procedure (MOP) for cutover of critical components.
  • Coordinate with purchasing and inventory control to ensure the timely sourcing of all tools and materials.

Essential Skills and Experience

  • BICSI Registered Telecommunications Project Manager (RTPM) strongly preferred.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
  • Minimum five (5) years of experience with structured cabling preferred; purchasing experience a plus.
  • General knowledge of electronics services industry (voice, data, security, multimedia and/or structured cabling) is a plus.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Project preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Highly motivated self-starter who takes initiative with high attention to detail.
