Subject: DES Business Continuity Response to COVID-19
As we navigate the dynamic crisis situation caused by Covid-19, we have been working on a plan of business continuity that will guide and anchor us through this evolving period.
First and foremost, our concern is the health and safety of our employees, their families and of our customers. As a technology integrator, we are classified as an essential business and are permitted to be on-site to support life-sustaining operations. For non-essential businesses, our technicians and staff are well-equipped to work remotely, and in many cases can troubleshoot and provide support to our clients over the internet.
At DES, our mission is to connect business with advanced technology – and the need is greater now than ever before. We are proud to be at the forefront of Pittsburgh’s Covid-19 response by assisting with the setup of temporary coronavirus testing and healthcare sites. I am immensely thankful to my Dagostino team.
I know that these are challenging times. Covid-19 isn't going to pass swiftly. Instead, we are entering, as Lieutenant Governor John Fetterman described, “a new normal”. The coordinates that we've used until now to define our daily routines and expectations will need to shift to this new normal. Right now, each one of us has an active responsibility to mitigate the spread of this pandemic. Our actions today will actively change the headlines of next week's papers.
As a Pittsburgh-based company for over 40 years, we have been through regional crisis. I am committed to doing my part in leading us through to the other side. I am confident that our careful planning, and our commitment and resiliency will keep us solidly fruitful.
With well wishes,
