Construction Business Development Manager
We are seeking an entrepreneurial candidate with a construction background, and the ability to develop relationships and drive additional opportunities and sales. Contributing strategically to our continued growth in this industry, the Construction Business Development Manager will leverage their knowledge of estimating, unions, and construction to seek opportunities for voice, data, security, multimedia, and structured cabling projects.

Position Responsibilities

  • Develop relationships with electrical contractors, construction managers, general contractors, architectural firms, industry influencers, and key strategic partners.
  • Create and recognize selling opportunities by utilizing industry and market knowledge.
  • Proactively provide consultative selling while providing technology solutions to potential clients.
  • Align selling strategies with business and organizational objectives.
  • Prepare, deliver, and follow through with sales proposals/presentations to close the sale.
  • Help define and develop project scopes, goals, expectations, and deliverables.
  • Assist with the coordination of analyzing the best use of resources, labor, equipment and vendors for jobs and installations.
  • Coordinate and deliver project completion by meeting or exceeding budget, timeline, and quality expectations.

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of five (5) years management and business development experience in a construction environment, including working with union personnel
  • General knowledge and experience with electronics services industry (Voice, Data, Security, Multimedia, and/or Structured Cabling)
  • Business acumen with analytical and negotiating skills.
  • Proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio and CRM software.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Highly motivated self-starter who takes initiative with high attention to detail.

Field Service Technician
The Field Service Technician will provide on-site support for our clients and technical assistance to our support desk engineers. The position will professionally communicate with customers and dispatch on job status, and provide broad troubleshooting ability and expertise with a variety of devices and media to include:

  • Analog paging systems and audio paging over fiber optic cabling
  • Analog (POTS) phone lines and voice over IP phones
  • Access card readers and proximity devices
  • Analog and IP surveillance cameras
  • Multimedia rooms to include:
    • Projectors and retractable/fixed projector screens
    • LCD/LED screens
    • Wired and wireless microphones
    • Audio mixers
    • Overhead and wall mounted speakers
    • HDMI splitters / extenders
  • Low voltage wiring to include:
    • Category rated twisted pair copper
    • Coax
    • Balanced and unbalanced audio
    • Twisted pair communications wiring using 110 or 66 block terminations
    • Toner and tracker operation
    • Continuity tester
  • Wireless access points
  • LAN switches
  • Fiber Optic Cabling to include:
    • Identification of SC, ST, LC, patch cords and connectors
    • Identification of single or multi-mode cabling
    • Installation and testing of fiber media converters
    • GBIC modules and VFL testers
  • UPS operation and battery replacement
  • Equipment rack installation including wall mount and grounding procedures

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Associate’s Degree in electronics, information technology, or other related technology education, preferred
  • General knowledge of electronics services industry (Voice, Data, Security, Multimedia, and/or Structured Cabling) is a plus
  • Good computer skills including the use of multiple browsers, Microsoft Office, and Command Line Interface applications
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Highly motivated self-starter who takes initiative with high attention to detail.
  • Occasional overnight travel and weekend/Holiday work
